Bridges - Hole 1
As the signature Bridges hole, this short par 4 allows golfers to test their skill early. Guarded by a water hazard on the left side, an ideal tee shot will leave golfers on the right side of the fairway with less than 100 yards to the green. Long hitters have the option to go for the green, but with 6 bunkers guarding this green, golfers will have to trust their sand game if they don’t hit the green. Making 4 on this hole will start your round off the right way.
Bridges - Hole 2
This dogleg right, par 4 is a bit more challenging than the last, but still gives plenty of opportunity to keep a good round going. Golfers will need to find the corner of the dog leg to ensure a mid to short iron shot into the green. This green is slope significantly from back to front but play your cards right and birdie is not out of the question.
Bridges - Hole 3
From the tee box, golfers will see a wide-open, dogleg left fairway with very little trouble facing them. However, any tee shot left will leave golfers in the trees and scrambling to make par. Find the fairway first, ideally at the corner of the dogleg then attack the flag with short to mid iron. Take note as to where the flag is, as this large green can turn 2 putts into 3 in no time.
Bridges - Hole 4
Another dogleg left par 4 will allow golfers the opportunity to make up for any mistakes on the first 3 holes. Tee shots should be aimed to the right side of the fairway to allow golfers a full view of the green. Bunkers guard the front left and right side of the green, so be sure to check the wind before hitting your approach shot.
Bridges - Hole 5
The first par 5 on Bridges is a bombers paradise. Measuring 566 yards from the back tees, hit your tee shot and second shot as far as you can to give yourself a 60-yard pitch shot to a heavily guarded green. Golfers can expect to make par, but birdie should be the goal.
Bridges - Hole 6
Depending on which set of tees golfers play, this par 3 can make or break a round. Although the water hazard looks penalizing, golfers should narrow their focus on the front third of the green for their tee shot, which will allow them to make par and move on to the next hole.
Bridges - Hole 7
The final par 4 on Bridges, golfers will have the option to play to the corner of the dogleg or play over the trees on the right-hand side of the fairway to give them a short iron approach shot. With a slightly elevated green, golfers will need to avoid the 2 large bunkers defending the front portion of the green.
Bridges - Hole 8
A par 3 that will require golfers to pick the right club for their tee shot, otherwise, bogey or worse is unavoidable. With a significant sloped, two-tiered green, golfers need to be on the same level as the pin after their tee shot. Anything less can result with a bogey or worse.
Bridges - Hole 9
The final hole on Bridges is a par 5 where long hitters will have the opportunity to fly the trees on the left side of the fairway for a shot at the green in two. However, the corner of the dogleg sets up all golfers a great chance for birdie after a short, third shot to a favorable, receptive green. This is a great finishing hole for all golfers.
Lakes - Hole 1
This par 4 starting hole will get any golfer’s round off on the right foot. The corner of this slight dogleg right is protected by a large bunker that golfers will want to avoid. Guarded by 3 gloomy bunkers, golfers will need to take note of the hole location with their approach shot with a mid to short iron. Par is a golfer’s friend and should be expected here.
Lakes - Hole 2
A short but dangerous par 4, golfers will need to hit a mid to long iron off the tee to avoid the water hazard on the left and trees on the right. Ideally golfers want to see their ball within 120 yards that will allow them to hit a short iron into this narrow but receptive green, which is protected by trees on the left and mounds on the right.
Lakes - Hole 3
The first par 5 of Lakes is a long, straight away tee shot that should favor the right side of the fairway. From there, golfers will have the option to go for the green in two shots, or layout up to the end of the fairway for a simple, 50-yard pitch shot. With large bunkers covering the right and left side of the green, golfers going for the green in two will need to trust their sand game to save par. A great par 5 that will turn any golfers game around.
Lakes - Hole 4
This short par 3 will let golfers settle back into their golf game. With a large poplar tree protecting the left side of the green, golfers putting skills will be tested on this larger than usual green. Make a par on this hole and don’t look back.
Lakes - Hole 5
Golfers need to pay close attention to this straightaway par 4. With a large bunker protecting the right side of the fairway, most golfers may end up in finding tree trouble on the left side. The back left portion of this green is tucked away behind a large bunker and more trees. Par can sometimes slip through golfers’ hands before they even reach the green.
Lakes - Hole 6
A dogleg right, par 4 that gives plenty of tee shot options to all golfers. A conservative tee shot will leave golfers 150 yards to a slightly elevated green guarded by bunkers. An aggressive tee shot will leave golfers with a very short iron shot, or in the trees on the right or in the water on the left. With an undulating green, this par 4 will give up as many birdies as bogies.
Lakes - Hole 7
Known as the hole that everyone regretfully remembers, this sharp dogleg left par 4 plays more as a par 5 for most golfers. After hitting a tee shot well over 240 yards, golfers will then have a mere 200-yard shot that must carry over a large water hazard and mounds to settle on a 3-tiered green. Putting is just as important as your tee shot as small undulations can turn any golfer mad.
Lakes - Hole 8
This par 3 is a favorite among Willows golfers, as the elevated tee boxes allow golfers to see more of the green than others. However, with 3 large bunkers surrounding the green, and a 3-tiered green, golfers need to pay close attention to distance, wind and their nerves.
Lakes - Hole 9
As the Lakes signature hole, this par 5 offers the opportunity to make a good round, great. With a large bunker looming where most golfers land their tee shot, tee shots should favor the left side of the fairway. With water guarding the right side of the green, and bunkers guarding the left side, golfers will be left with less than an 80-yard pitch shot that needs to find this narrow green. With the patio overlooking the 9th green, give them something to cheer about as you make your birdie putt.
Xena - Hole 1
A great par 4 starting hole which allows golfers the chance to ease into their golf game. With a welcoming tee shot, players are left with a short iron or wedge into this receptive green but beware the large bunker on the right. A large green with some tricky undulations will keep even the seasoned golfer’s attention.
Xena - Hole 2
With water and bunkers guarding the left side, golfers will want to favor the right side of the fairway to have a more favorable second shot into this narrow par 4 green. Careful of any short, left approach shots, as the false front can lead to more water. Front or middle pin locations are easily accessible, but a back left pin location is not for the faint of heart.
Xena - Hole 3
This beast of a par 5 can make or break a golfer’s round. After an uphill tee shot, golfers will need to navigate their second shot between bunkers on the left and a water hazard on the right. This green is guarded by multiple bunkers and any long approach shot will end up in the water.
Xena - Hole 4
The signature hole for the Xena 9 features a large, peninsula green guarded by bunkers and surrounding water. Golfers need to pay attention to the wind direction to ensure that tee shots find the correct quadrant of this large, undulating green.
Xena - Hole 5
Golfers can take breathe and enjoy the views on this straight away par 5. With two good shots, golfers will be left with 100 yards or less into this tucked away, narrow green. Golfers will need to pay attention to right side of the green, as the false front will take any approach shot off the green leading to an attention-grabbing chip shot.
Xena - Hole 6
This longer than usual par 3 is not known for its distance, but the hazards surrounding the green. With 4 bunkers and a short right collection area, golfers will need to be ensure their short game is ready for the challenge.
Xena - Hole 7
This daunting par 4 will require golfers to hit 2 good shots to this heavily guarded green. With a well-trained tee shot, golfers will want to hug the left side of the fairway to allow for a more welcoming approach shot. Tee shots favoring the right side of the fairway will need to navigate the infamous Willow tee that guards the green.
Xena - Hole 8
As a shorter par 4, golfers will need to decide how big of risk they are willing to take. Golfers will need to navigate between trees lining the left side of the fairway and a large water hazard guarding the right side. With a Willow tree situated 220 yards from the tee box, a long iron tee shot is ideal to leave a 120 yard approach shot. Guarded by bunkers, this large green will test any golfer’s putting.
Xena - Hole 9
Noted as one of the hardest finishing holes at the Willows, Xena #9 demands 2 well struck shots to have any chance at making par. With 100-foot poplar trees lining the right side of the fairway and another water hazard guarding the left, golfers need to get the most out of their tee shot to leave themselves inside 150 yards for their approach shot. Guarded by the same water hazard, this narrow, small green will test all golfers. Once on the putting green, golfers will take note of the significant change in elevation from the back of the green to the front. Making par feels like you’ve earned a shot, or two, back.
